Project description: Design of a mobile app that will help better the experience of dining in the food courts at Singapore Polytechnic.
Before starting the designing process of the app, I interviewed students that frequented the food courts at Singapore Polytechnic and asked a series of questions to get a better insight on how to better their experience at the food court.
Based on these findings, I decided to come up with an application that will eliminate the need for queues altogether. Since both ordering and paying for food required having to queue up, the app must be able to do both of these actions instead.
However, since the queues were important decision making factors for many students when it came to choosing which stall to go to to purchase their food, the app also had to inform the students how many people were also in line waiting for their order without the need for a physical queue.
